Technology In World War 1

This Afternoon Mr Burt told us a little story about Technology in WW1 (world war 1 ). The main question was : Is technology Good or Bad ? He told us about his Grandfather. He lived in England. He told us about how war began. It began between cousins. Queen Victoria had cousins who had high positions in other country and they wanted to start a war. But they began by building weapons which is also known as Arms race. For example if one country built a tank truck the other side will try and build something stronger or bigger. They spent heaps of money and it went on and on until they realised they had built too much and had to use or it's too late. So they started a war between each other and used all their weapons and we all know it didn't turn out well. So we all know the answer to our problems is not war it's talking it out and working together to figure out our problems.

Word Problems

In Kiwi sport this term we are learning how to play basketball. So far we have learnt how to dribble the ball.

A) Chelsea could dribble the ball 58 times.
B) Liz could only dribble half of what Chelsea can
Image result for michael jordan dribbling the ballC) Semi could dribble the ball 7 times more than Chelsea
D) Izac could dribble the ball 3 times more than Liz
Q) How many times can each person dribble the ball

Chelsea - 58 times
Liz - 29 times
Semi - 406 times
Izac - 87 times

58 / 2 = 29

58 x 7 = 406
50 x 7 = 350
8 x 7 = 56
350 + 56 = 406

29 x 3 = 87
20 x 3 = 60
9 x 3 = 27
60 + 27 = 87

Anzac Symbol

This is my symbol of Anzac day and those who have fallen in the World war 1. The reason why I chose a Journal is because the soldiers wrote to there families of the tragic war. Then I wrote a message in the Journal saying They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning WE WILL REMEMBER THEM. For the fallen

Lest we forget By Marilyn. :)
