Sticking Around

This week in Numeracy we have been learning the basics of Algebra.
We were given a presentation to work through with a partner. Brooklyn
and I struggled throughout this presentation but in the end managed to complete
it to a high standard. We are now moving on to more complex algebra questions
to improve our understanding on Algebra. Enjoy our presentation!

Give three examples of each state of matter?

Solid	Liquid	Gas
Diamond	Water	Air
Concrete	Honey	Oxygen
Sugar	Blood	Carbon Dioxide

What’s the difference between the three states of matter?

Solids	Liquids	Gases
The particles of the solids are compressed together to form a harder surface	The particle of the liquids are not as compressed together as a solid. There particles flow easily and don’t mind being separated.	Gases are similar to liquids. Their particles flow around in their air in separation. They cannot be held like a solid as there particles are not compressed together.

Write 3 sentences explaining something new you learned from this reading.

I have learnt the differences between all three of the states of matter. Also particles can also be called Atoms. When atoms are made smaller they are called Molecules. Also I have learnt the difference between mass and weight. Mass is the quality that gives weight its shape. Weight is the heaviness of the mass.
