The last days of school ...

The last days of school children and Teachers are shifting and moving things into classes for the new year 2014. Wherever I look I can see Children playing games on the field and a lot of moving things out and around. I can not wait to the new year 2014 it is going to be exciting ! Room 16,17 and 18 are going to have new looking class rooms. I'm really looking forward to the holidays in two more days ! We are going overseas to Samoa oh January the 11th For my little sisters Birthday (Glennes) Let's carry on about school.

School is been very busy and all of the seniors are helping the Juniors to move tables and chairs. I bet that is a very hard Job to do. All of Room 16,17 and 18 are staying the same for other people to use while we get to enjoy our brand new classrooms that are getting built in the holidays so exciting ! But they need more time then the holidays so we have to stay in small buildings These ones !

I love using my netbook because I can share my work with people around the world and post more of my work on my blog like DLO’s and Strategies how to solve a problem. Since we are talking about solving problem this is what I learned From my maths teacher.

Mr S who is my maths teacher has taught me how to solve a division problem with remainders and to share it with other people in my group and to also Decimals

Reading and  Writing is a lot of fun because you can learn new words while reading a book and writing is fun because you get to tell people what you are learning about.

Why I would like to be an Ambasador !

To Mrs Burt : This is my application to be an Ambassador !

Why I would like to be an ambassador is because I have a lot of confidence in me and because I like learning about new things also creating DLO’s and sharing it on my blog with the whole world. I like to follow the footsteps of my older sister Quasia because she also had the opportunity to be an ambassador for 2013. The one other reason I want to be an ambassador is because I can learn from my her. Things speaking clearly etc etc.

Learn create and share has always been my focus in my school life. Sometimes I would forget that Learn create and share is my topic but I would always do it. I can remember things very well cause in room 12 Miss Barks would say that i am an elephant cause I remember a lot of things. I was really surprised when I got a comment from a student from the university of south alabama ! I thought being an ambassador was the hardest job but when I persevere i can do it ! Also with Mr Marks we have been learning about our Writing Goals. Here is the link. The Ambassador is a great job. I like showing visitors around and making them feel welcome but the main thing is telling them about my blog and my work !  Telling them about how I learn is also how they can learn more about us and use our idea’s to carry it on to their schools !

What it is like having friends !

Having friends is one of the best feelings I ever had. They stand up for you and support you. It feels good to have friends by your side ! They always but a smile on your face and make you happy ! I love having friends !

Reading Books in the morning !

Room 16,17 and 18 is now reading in the morning everyday! It helps a lot to me because I learned new words that can help me with writing. The book i'm reading is Now you see me by Jane B. Mason and Sarah hines stephen.

The Annoying Daughter who vanished at 12:00

Once upon a time there was a mother whose name was Jane. She had an a annoying daughter called Grace. Grace was 6 years of age. She was annoying because when it is Summer  time they go to the beach together and relax and enjoy the fresh air. She would embarrassed her mother by going  around the place and smashing the  childrens sandcastle and all  the  childrens mother’s would complain to Jane. While one mother complained to the life guards so they got banned for a month.

Now this is the last day of them getting banned Jane was scared going back to the beach she might even get banned on the first day because of Grace. She thought of taking Grace to her Grandma’s house. She told Grace if she wanted to stay with Grandma while she goes to do something.  She said yes so she dropped of Grace at her mother’s house.

“Yes finally I have time to go to the beach by myself” Jane said while driving to the beach. When reaching the beach she was very happy. She had a list to do. First she had to do was suntan herself . Then on her to do list was to enjoy herself !!!!!!!! So she did. But over at Grandma’s house Grace was gone crazy wild she was running around screaming from the top of her lungs it was like at her Grandma’s house was crazyville.

It was 11:00 and finally Grace was all exhausted and fell asleep. It was all quiet the only thing you could hear was the soft snooze of Grace and the breeze.  Grandma Jill was having a cup of Tea. 1 hour later and Grace is still asleep. “That’s not like her” Grandma Jill said. She would often sleep for 30 minutes half an Hour. She checked in the room and saw nothing only a note. She ran up and got the note. It said Dear the Grandma of Grace she is taken away from now on at 12:00 Until she learns how to calm herself From the Owner of Learn how to calm your child or we will do it for you !

So when Jane came she explained  what happened and gave her the note. so now she understands and think it’s a brilliant idea !!!!!

THE MORAL OF THE STORY : To always be good not embarrassing because you never know that something might happen to you something bad !!!

Farewell Peter Fatialofa.

I would like to say sorry for your lost to Peter Fatialofa family. It is very sad to lose someone you very love. He was an outstanding rugby player for his culture and I know that it would make a lot of samoans feel good to be a Samoan just like me. I wish you all the best to his family and to him as well. Manuia lou Malaga   Peter Fatialofa. I know that you will have an awesome time in heaven and your family and all your fans will be very sad to lose you . THANKS FOR BEING AN  AWESOME RUGBY PLAYER AND MAKING SAMOAN PEOPLE BEING PROUD OF THEIR CULTURE JUST LIKE I AM !

My Test

The sun has risen up into the sky and the birds are singing gracefully in the trees. It is a lovely morning for a little boy name James. He is only 7 years old and loves to help his father Murray who is a farmer. He could only help his father in the weekends and Holidays  because he had to go school. Sadly his mother would take him to school but his mother had died yesterday because of Cancer. So he strolled along the path reminding himself of him and his mother walking together. While walking farmer Murray was busily harvesting his crops until he saw a car. It was his brother Banter.

They loved chatting together for hours and hours. Today they would've made a world record by chatting from 9:00 to 3:00 but the world record time was 9:00 to 3:01 they could at least talk for another 2 minutes. So now James is home and saw nobody at the farm because his uncle Banter has parked his car at the back where James wasn't allowed to go. So then he heard a shh. It was coming from the kitchen.

It was the voice of Uncle Banter but he didn't know so then uncle Banter said “ I would love chicken eggs for dinner if I stole  7  eggs” But James took it the wrong way he thought there was a stranger trying to make friends with his father so he could steal eggs but it was only uncle Banter reading what happened on the newspaper. Uh oh. If only James went inside the kitchen he would have seen what really happened.

James was now a problem to his father by annoying him for the rest of the day by saying “Dad I heard someone say that they are going to steal seven eggs from our farm” over and over again. So his father said “OK James go to bed and I will solve it out” But he only said that to get rid of James and he did. So now he could do his job without annoying noises.

James knew his father wouldn't do anything about it so he decided he would do it and solve the mystery. He felt like a crime solver and a superhero who is going to save the day. So he got his rest and woke up in the morning and it turned out to be having a few showers. He saw a car come and it was his uncle Banter he would visit on Fridays and the weekends. He was glad to see his uncle.

So mostly he was a fan of reading newspapers and when he read it he felt like he heard the same voice from yesterday so he asked his uncle and said “uncle were you here yesterday ?” Uncle replied “Yes I was I was in the kitchen reading the newspaper someone had stolen 7 eggs for the supermarket. “O it was you how said  “I would love chicken eggs for dinner if I stole  7  eggs”. Sorry I thougt you were a stranger trying to make friends with my father so you could steal 7 eggs. By the time he said sorry his father came back with a box of vanilla Ice cream and James explained everything that happened and enjoyed the Ice cream.     

My Edited Version of A Picture of a PLane turns into a story

Early in the morning the Lorrins family are taking the suitcases in the boot. They are heading for the airport. They are leaving to Canada to visit some family members the haven’t seen for almost 3 years. The plane leaves at 6:00 o clock so they better hurry. Mrs Lorrins is still trying to wake up Samantha. She is 8 years old and always loves to sleep in. After 3 minutes she has awaken by a rummm. I asked mum what was that noise she replied back “sweetheart it’s only dad turning on the car” I replied back by saying why ? mum said “Remember we are leaving to Canada to visit Auntie and Uncle.

So then Samantha brushed her teeth,brushed her hair and put on the clothes that her mum left on the bed and ran straight into the back seat of the car. Dad was surprised to see her full with energy. Last time when they were heading for England she was dragging herself to the car and even slept in there and they had to wake her up at the carpark of the airport. That took 7 minutes to do that. So they drove to the airport and they played Samantha’s favorite song. It is you can count on me by Bruno Mars. Arriving at the airport they got there suitcases and ran to the check in point and checked in.

When finishing doing that they ran to the place where you show your passport and other details and they went. They asked the assistant which plane is heading to Canada the lady said the plane on the north side. But by mistaken she meant the east side but she was too late. They already have taken their first step into the plane . That plane was heading for Hawaii.

So the engine of the plane began and they were flying now they have reached up way into the sky. The slept for 7-9 hours and Karen who is Mrs Lorrins looks outside the window and see’s a beach. She asked the pilot where are they and he said “Mamm this plane goes to Hawaii and we are in Hawaii. “Oh no she says the assistant said this plane goes to Canada we are suppose to be in Canada” The Pilot said “I'm very sorry but I got to fill this plane with gas and that gas is suppose to be me going back to Australia. The next flight to Australia will be not after 5 days so you will have to stay here” Ok replied Karen.

She awoke her husband and told him all about what happened but Samantha was actually happy. She would rather be in a hot sunny place then be in the second version of Antarctica. So they went to a motel called the Coconut Motel. Samantha laughed when she heard the name of the motel. There room was 197. Samantha’s parent’s start to settled in but Samantha took her swimming togs and ran to the beach. It was a good thing that the view outside there window was the area Samantha was swimming in.

She told her Parents to come and have a swim and they did. So they made plans of what they would do. For the rest of the 4 days it felt like they were in heaven. The loved on the last day they got a free massage and Samantha got Ice cream. The actually enjoy Hawaii and after 5 days in Hawaii Mr Lorrins said “It wasn't a bad holiday after all” and soon they headed back to Australia to catch the next flight to Canada witch Samantha calls 2 version of Antarctica.

One day while picking eggs from the chicken's nest he heard a car stop. He thought it was his brother John. His brother John visited last week with his 4 children 2 girls and 2 boys. The two girls are twins. One name Molly and the other one named polly. The brothers are Sam and Carl. But by his surprise it was the Landlord . His name was Mr Wilson. Mr wilson gave him a note with a sad face  and drove off. He sat down and r.ad it. It said Dear Mr Robbins I am very sorry to say that you have to leave all your crops and animals and move to another place because someone has fully bought the farm and you have only paid half the amount. If you think you can pay the rest in 2 weeks you can keep your farm. Kind regards : Mr Wilson.



He was a very sad man he groaned for about 5 minutes until he heard a ring ring it was his wife calling. He got his cellphone out of his pocket and answered “hello Mr Robbins speaking” Hello it’s me your wife Jenny Im just calling to hear what’s going on there”. So George who was Mr Robbins told Jenny that the Landlord will have to give the farm to another family if they can't pay the rest of the farm in 2 weeks . So Jenny said “Good news I have made 700 dollars and I am coming back tomorrow I will pay it to the landlord when I come and we can have our farm and home” “Thank you so much honey” replied George.



The next day later George got into his car and drove to the airport. It was the first time he woke up at 8:00 to go to the airport. He was so happy. It took him 20 minutes to get to the airport. When he arrived he ran all the way to give his wife a hug. Jenny was surprised to see him so happy. She showed him the 700 dollars and went straight to the landlord and paid it off. So they went home joyful and got to keep 400 dollars because that was the left over and enjoyed a happy life with their animals.

The day at the movies.

In the holidays my sister's and my cousins headed for the movies.  We were going to watch planes. Everyone was so excited. I had 6 girl cousin's coming with me and my sisters of course our auntie and uncle came. It took us probably 20 minutes to get to sylvia Park.

When we arrived there was a little chaos. My Uncle went up to the shops up top and we were looking for him everywhere down bottom. Then we saw him up top and we decided to take the lift up top but then we got to the top my uncle was down bottom. So he decided to take the lift back to the bottom and meet him there. So then we headed straight to the movies.

We went past lots of cool shop's like smiggles and Kiwi yo. Stepping inside of the movies my cousins ran around the place excitedly. My Auntie went to get 14 tickets for everyone. We had some leftover tickets but that was for another day. She ordered us our own drink and popcorn and chocolate Ice cream.

Let the movie begin. Planes started and my baby cousin who was 1 years old was running around crazy up and down the stairs she would shout and have Ice cream all over her mouth. She was a really crazy baby.
The movie was about 1 hour and 30 minutes long. I really enjoyed going to the movies and watching Planes. Maybe one day I might be a pilot flying a plane.

My writing of the myth of Pandora's box.

Pandora's box

Pandora’s Box was written by a man named Hesiod. He was a farmer until one day he met the muses which actually were the 9 daughters of Zeus. They were talking about epic poems. Until that moment Hesiod was inspired by what they were talking about and they told him to write a 800 lined poem. Hesiod is now a famous ancient greece author who wrote Pandora’s box . Pandora’s box is known as a greek myth. Myth’s are made up stories.

The story started with a man named Epimetheus he was a man who cared a lot for his people. He would provide shelter and food. There was also a very powerful God named Olympian Zeus. He never liked the people of Epimetheus. He would take away their home and they would have to camp outside. Zeus most of all hated Epimetheus he would steal fire to keep his people warm.

One day Zeus wanted to get revenge on him. He made a beautiful woman named Pandora. He sended it to Epimetheus. He loved it. Soon Zeus gave him a box and told him never to open it. But Pandora wanted to know what was inside of the box. She thought that inside must be riches and jewelry. When Epimetheus was in a deep sleep she quietly got the key of the box and opened it and out came all the bad things like envy,hate and the baddest things you could ever imagine. But then she suddenly closed the box and inside was only left a bit of hope.

The temple of Zeus was built in the land of ancient greece. It was built in the 6th century. It is 2,300 feet wide and 500 meters tall.. It was a very important building to the greek people. As soon as a another culture meet there is a little tension. They always wanted to keep their country a good place to raise their children. So they had to fight to keep their country a good place. Then the war began. In the war the people of the other side destroyed the temple of Zeus and as you might research there is some picture’s of the ruin of Zeus’s temple. The only thing that was rebuilt was the pillars. It is made out of stone and concrete. They built it to remind them of Zeus.

My Punctuation Goal .

Cross Country.

On Thursday 22 of August Pt England school had cross country. Cross Country is where you run around the field and see who comes first. It’s a race. First up was the 5 year old boys. They went around the school field and around half of the reserve. It is so tiring and long. It was very sunny and I was bored waiting for my turn. My group was the third to last group to run. My group was the Nine year old girls Because we go by ages and our genders. Everyone was so bored but we were still a little energetic to cheer. We had house colours like Green was Mataatua, Yellow was Takitimu, Blue was Tainui and last of all Red was Te Aroha. I was in Mataatua Green.

Mr Burt was telling the little boys were to run and how to start. He said “On your marks get set GO !!!” The school started cheering for their house colours and the crowd went wild and my knees were hurting because of the courts. I was cheering so loud. I was nervous and scared and I just wanted it to be over with. My Dad always told me to Jog in the first bit and then sprint.

After 9 races it was finally the nine year old girls turn was up. I looked on the field it was full of mud. It looked like I was going to run and have fun. Mr Burt started off by saying “ On your marks get set GO !! Again the crowd went wild and I was sprinting my hardest I was so nervous that I forgot to jog first. There was this Girl who was coming fist because she came first last year in 2012. She was in Te Aroha red. I wasn't very happy with that so I sprinted as fast as I could but I still couldn't beat her she was very hard to beat. So I started to jog even though I wasn't half way. We had to go around the school field, through the past the boys who were showing the way and around the whole massive reserve.


Round we went through the muddy puddles that was actually fun. There were massive puddles of water. I wish I could go through them but I couldn’t. I ran with my friend Antonia. She would mostly come first or second. But she told me she wasn't going to come first this year. So we went past Mr Barks encouraging us in a funny way. We sprinted past him through the playground and in the finish line. I was so glad it was over. “Yay” I cheered. I enjoyed my run and then it was time for the 10 year old boys and girls. It was very fun.

Meeting famous chefs at sky city !!!!

On Friday I was super excited to be meeting Paul Jobin. We were going to be cooking with him. Me and my sister Glennes. We were full of joy. When me and my sister finally reached sky city we ran to his restaurant and saw that it looked very stylishly and very fabulous. Before we started cooking we had to be videoed on a very flash camera. It felt like we were going to be on TV. We had to say what was our mane ,who were we going to meet. It was very fun. So it was time to meet Paul Jobin. Aah it was very scary and my mood changed to nervous instead of excited. When i started meeting him my good mood was coming back.

First I had to be mixing spices which smell very weird. While I was doing that Glennes had to roll mashed potatoes. It was very scary while i was getting film for one hour. My legs were going to brake for standing so long. Soon as we finished mixing up the spices and the mash potatoes we cooked the duck.

When cooking the duck I added the spices and it was grizzling. It takes about 12 minutes to cook the duck. While the camera man was filming he was trying to get a close the duck went on fire and he was shocked and everyone were laughing.

Ducks were cooked and our plates we shining as new we started to plate up. First we added the ducks which were placed in the middle adding the mash potatoes it went around the sides of the plated. When that was completed we judged the looks of our plates. Paul said Glennes's plate is just a mess and my one is an olden day style.

As most cooking show finish plating they have a taste. The first thing I tasted was the duck of course. It tasted burnt a little because it was on fire next to the camera man. It was fabulous.

Hansel and Gretel.

Title: Hansel and Gretel

Once upon a time there was a mother and father who had two children named Hansel and Gretel. There mother was not a kind to them at all times and send

them to the forest to starve to death. Walking in the forest they found a very delicious looking house made out of sweets. Inside was a kind old lady that let them in for delicious blueberry pie. They became very fat and when they went to see the old lady she had turned into a witch and tossed Hansel into a very uncomfortable cage and locked him up. While Gretel was helping the witch preparing the oven for her dinner which she knew was going to be them.
When Gretel was preparing the oven she chucked the witch into the oven and the witch was never seen again. They ate until there tummy were big and fat went all the way home .


The morale of the story is DO NOT GO INTO STRANGE LOOKING HOUSES EVEN IF IT IS MADE OUT OF CANDY and do not judge a book by its cover. You never know if its a trap and the person that let you in is not what you think.

The moral relates in my life by to - Everything is not what it seems it may look sweet but it is sour in the inside.

At the Movies !!!

Retelling the wolf in sheep's clothing

Once upon a time on a cold hillside there was a shepherd who cared a lot for his flock of sheep and loved to feed them a lot. One day there was a very bad and evil wolf who loved to eat sheep for his Sunday dinner. He looked over to the flock of sheep and wondered how he would get one.

Walking near some trees he noticed that under one tree was a sheepskin. He made a plan to disguise himself and pretend to be one of the sheep. As he went to join the flock of sheep he was filled with joy. Grr grumbled his tummy. He had to get there quick.


When he joined the flock he started to eat grass and started to talk like the sheep talked. “Baa baa” he said . He waited until sunset so the shepherd could put them in the pen and he could gobble them all up one by one.

The sun started to set and the shepherd chose one of the sheep to have for his dinner. He chose the fattest which he knew would be juicy and fill his stomach. He chose Mr wolf who was disguised because he was the fattest of them all. So he took him by his hook and when he laid the sheep of the table he noticed it was a wolf. He was so terrified but still happy because it tasted fabulous and Mr wolf could not eat his sheep again.


The moral of the story is - Don’t pretend to be something or someone you are not.

Sisters Forever !!

Here is a picture of my sisters. I have three sisters including me. My older sister's name is Yanquasia but most people call her Quasia for short. My little sister's name is Glennes we name her Glennes after Glen Innes. We named her after Glen Innes because we moved in the year she was borned. Yanquasia was just made up .

Here is a chart that shows who will win rock paper scissors. I am the Yellow
with 46.8% and my opponent is Brooklyn with 53.2%. As you can see  Brooklyn
has a more chance of winning rock paper scissors. The score was ME - 22 and Brooklyn - 25

My Writing Goals .

Here is my Writing goals hope you enjoy reading !!!

I am confident with using speech marks and also adding different beginnings to different sentences.

I am unsure about my punctuation, grammar and sticking to one main idea. Also question marks,exclamation marks and speech.

My goal for my writing is that I can work on using more punctuation and juicy words .

I am really looking forward to term 3 and trying to achieve my goals for my writing and to also concentrate and focus a lot next term. One of my goals is to become good at using punctuation and grammar. I will push myself to try hard to achieve my goals.

Book Review.

Characters (Becky,Bloom Family,Del,Hamilton Rosie.

Setting ( School Hall Because thats where they are having the School Prom):

What was the problem?  There is a cute new boy named Hamilton  in Mr Dels class and Rosie’s sister Becky is Embarrassing her in front of the new boy  by acting weird .

What was the solution?  Hamilton figured out that Becky was only acting weird because she was too shy to ask him out to the prom .

Was there a plot twist? NO

My favourite part of the book was ? When Hamilton figured out why Becky was acting weird.

If I could change the ending it would end like this? But then it was happily ever after all.

Would I read this book again? YES
